Chariots of Fire (1981)

I was a hurdler in high school, so this one is special even though it came out after I graduated. Hard to get charged up about the Brits winning track & field gold over the USA in the Olympics though. The first of consecutive Best Picture Oscars taken home by the British (Sir John Gielgud in both); it also won for Screenplay Writing. Supporting Actor Ian Holm and Director Hugh Hudson received their only Oscar nominations (to date). #100 on AFI's 100 Most Inspiring Movies list.
