Postman Always Rings Twice The (1946)
Starring the beautiful Lana Turner as Cora Smith and the always exciting John Garfield as Frank Chambers this film noir classic is a must-see! Turner is married to a small businessman Nick played by Cecil Kellaway stuck in a dull life when (who should happen into their diner?) Garfield arrives. What happens next is no mystery. You’ll also see an interesting performance by Hume Cronyn as Arthur Keats the man who breaks up the whole affair. Also with Leon Ames (as the prosecutor) and Audrey Totter; Byron Foulger appears uncredited. Directed by Tay Garnett based on the James M. Cain novel with a screenplay by Harry Ruskin and Niven Busch (In Old Chicago (1937)). #49 on AFI’s 100 Greatest Love Stories list.
