Ride the Pink Horse (1947)

Ride the Pink Horse (1947)

A rather odd film but one that you’ll find it hard to stop watching once you start. Robert Montgomery who also directed this film plays a man who visits a small town in New Mexico to blackmail a gangster (Fred Clark). Wanda Hendrix plays a girl who distracts him; Art Smith plays an FBI agent who’s on to him. He’s assisted by a local merry-go-round merchant played brilliantly by Thomas Gomez (nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for it). Ben Hecht and Charles Lederer collaborated on its screenplay. Andrea King also appears.
