Third Man The (1949)

Acclaimed thriller set in post World War II multi-jurisdictional Vienna starring Joseph Cotton as a writer who must find his old friend Harry Lime (Orson Wells) who’s involved in the thriving Black Market there. This Grahame Greene/Alexander Korda story (Greene screenplay) also features Trevor Howard as a Major in charge of one section. Won the Best B&W Cinematography Oscar and received two other nominations including one for its director Carol Reed.
