A remake of Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai (1954) and featuring Elmer Bernstein's most recognized (and Oscar nominated) score, this Western is fantastic fun with an all-star cast which includes Yul Brynner, Eli Wallach as the villain, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, Robert Vaughn, and James Coburn. John Sturges directed it. #79 on AFI's 100 Most Heart-Pounding Movies list. #8 on AFI's Top 25 Film Scores list.
