Come Back, Little Sheba (1952)

I highly recommend you see Shirley Booth's Oscar winning performance (in her screen debut!), if you haven't, with Terry Moore (also nominated). Have your hankies ready, though, for this screen adaptation of William Inge's (Splendor in the Grass (1961)) play. It's a sad story of a lonely woman, married to an alcoholic (Burt Lancaster), that takes on a young, attractive boarder (Moore). The older couple lives somewhat vicariously through her, while at the same time resisting being a parent to her (or more!). Richard Jaeckel plays the young stud that dates Moore's character, pressuring her for what all males his age (and older) & vitality would.
